How to generate a missing confirmation letter for a re-scheduled appointment

Introduction

Sometimes the Confirmation Letter for a Rescheduled appointment does not appear in the Post Document tab of Appointment View.

This is an example of a recheduled appointment.

However, only the first Appointment Confirmation Letter appears in the Post Document tab of Appointment View

Steps to generate the new Confirmation Letter

  • Open Appointment View by one of two ways: 

    • Double click the rescheduled appointment in the Scheduling Appointment Book

    • Double click the rescheduled appointment from the Appointment Standard Schedule Inquiry. See instructions below
  • Select the Post Document tab
  • Double click the previous Confirmation Letter to open

  • At the top left of the letter, click the Regenerate Document icon

  • In the Regenerate Document pop up, select chw_appt_conf_OP as the Available Layout (for both SCH and CHW locations)

  • Click OK 

  • Close the window 

  • The new confirmation letter will appear. It can easily be identified by the most recent Document Create Date Time and Manual Create Indicator = Yes

  • Double click the new confirmation letter to open and then print 

 

Find a rescheduled appointment with the Appointment Standard Schedule Inquiry

  • Click Appointment Inquiry in the toolbar

  • Select the the Person tab 

  • Inquiry = Appointment Standard Schedule 

  • Enter patient name 

  • Enter a start date before the time the appointment was rescheduled 

  • Click Find and the rescheduled appointment appears on the right

  • Double click on the line for the new appointment
