Only the Authourising Medical Officer (or his delegate) can change the BTF Chart Type, in the event where the default age-based chart type is physiologically inappropriate.
- Navigate to BTF Observation Chart
- Click on the current Chart Type
- Select the appropriate Chart Type
Note: to maintain patient safety the available options will be one chart above and below the default age-based chart type. - Document the reason for changing the chart type
- Click Submit
- Any changes made to a patient’s chart type will be recorded in the table below
