Can I still view the diets for the entire ward?

Yes - this will be available as a Discern Analytics 2.0 report.  Use the search function in Discern Analytics 2.0 and search for the word - diet.  The report is called Diet Orders.

Can the CSAs still order diets?

If a CSA is required to order a diet they must make a phone order to order the diet.  It is recommended that nurses order diets through PowerChart.

What is the process of ordering a late meal or meals during downtime?

This process will remain unchanged.  You will still need to call the diet office and place a phone order directly.

Will the allergies entered in PowerChart also pull through into the diet orders sent to the kitchen?

Yes, for example, if the patient has an egg allergy documented in PowerChart they will not receive a diet that includes eggs.
