Documentation - Macro Functionality in PowerNote

Macros can be added to Operation Description / Post procedure instructions and follow up section headings if the instructions/document will be similar/identical for same procedures.

How to Create a Macro

  1. From the PowerNote navigate to the section heading where macro is to be added i.e. Post procedure instructions and followup.
  2. Click on Comment.

  3. Type your instructions in the Comment window and click OK.

  4. Instruction type will appear under the heading Post procedure instruction and followup.
  5. Right click on the heading Post procedure instruction and followup.  Select Save Macro As…

  6. Save As window will appear.
  7. Type the Title of your Post – Op instructions.
  8. Click Create New to save your macro.

  9. A light blue capital M will appear next to the heading to indicate that a macro has been saved.

How to Add a Macro to a PowerNote

A light blue capital M next to a heading in a PowerNote this is an indication that there are macros saved and available for use.

  1. Navigate to the heading of the PowerNote where Macro was saved.
  2. Click on M.

  3. A list of recently used macros by Title will appear.
  4. Click on the Title that you would like to use for this case.
  5. The text that was saved as a macro will appear under the heading in your PowerNote.
