Using iPM and Access Management Office (PM) - Resources (SCH)

IPM is the source of truth. Patient details are entered and updated in iPM and will feed to:

  • Access Management Office for PowerChart
  • Full Reg for FirstNet
  • OPD Check In window in Scheduling.

Note: Access Management Office and Patient Management (PM) are interchangeable terms

EXCEPTIONS: Contacts, Funding and Alerts do NOT feed from iPM to PM. They must be entered and updated in iPM and PM (Modify Person or Modify Encounter) or the OPD Check In window in Scheduling

Patient has a SESLHD MRN

Using MRNs created in SESLHD

 

Entering Patient Details in iPM

Updating Patient Name (including Baby Of, spelling errors), DOB and Gender in iPM  Do NOT update if patient is a SCHN or SESLHD inpatient

Update Patient Address and Contact Details in iPM 

Entering Patient Address if there is no QAS match in iPM

Adding a Mailing Address

Entering a Secure Address in iPM

Enter a Social Alert

End Date information in iPM

Common Reasons why iPM updates do not feed to PM


Person to Contact

Update Person to Contact in iPM and PM  will not cross from iPM to PM and must be entered in both systems.

 

Health Fund Information

Update Funding (Health Fund) in iPM and PM  will NOT cross from iPM to PM and must be entered in both systems.

 

GP Information

Updating GP/ Medical Centre details in iPM 

 

Alerts

Entering Alerts in iPM and PM will not cross from iPM to PM and must be entered in both systems.

 

Force transfer of information from iPM to PM

Dummy Update iPM

  • when no updates are required in iPM on admitting or checking in the patient
  • when the "Please update Patient Details in iPM before creating a new Encounter message" appears (for Medicare Eligibility/ Preferred Language or Aboriginality)
