Orthotics Inpatient and Outpatient Workflows

Inpatient Workflow 

• Order is made by a clinician to refer patient to be seen by the orthotics team - (Orders - Orthotics Consults Quickstart) 
• Referral is completed by orthotics directly from Multi Patient Task List (MPTL) - (How to set up MPTL Quickstart)
• Referral will appear in Referral List 
• Orthotists complete referral list form in powerchart. 
• Note: If patient is active inpatient, for outcome - choose appropriate outcome to the consultation 

Outpatient Workflow

• Order is made by a clinician to refer patient to be seen by the orthotics team (Orders - Orthotics Consults Quickstart) 

• This places the patient on the Orthotics Multi Patient Task List (MPTL) 

• Orthotists add patient to the CHW Orthotics Request List (How to add a patient to Orthotics Request list Quickstart)

• Once patient is on the request lists, orthotists complete the referral/consult form from MPTL on Powerchart (Completing Referral/Consult Form Quickstart)

• Once an appointment needs to be created for patient, orthotics team access the CHW Orthotics Request List and then create the appointment from the request list (How to create an appointment from the request list)
