eMM (electronic Medication Management) is coming to SCH mid November 2019.
All doctors who prescribe for SCH patients must attend an eMM Medical education session. Only after this training will access be granted to prescribe medications in the SCHN ‘Network’ eMR. This includes doctors from POW, POW MH and RHW.
Two learning pathways are being offered to medical staff:
· No prior training in eMEDs / eMM – Attend a classroom session (1.5 hours plus 30 min Q&A)
· Previously completed training in eMeds / eMM – Attend a self-paced workbook sessions (30 mins to 1.5 hours)
Note: It is a requirement to complete the online eMM videos (20 minutes content) prior to attending a session. SCH staff should access these through My Health Learning, non-SCH staff can watch these on learning.kids.

SMOs
Check with your department head if a team session as been organised – if yes, this will be reflected on the learning.kids website.
- If your department would still like to attend a session as a team, but this has not been organised yet, identify a suitable session time on learning.kids. See how to do this below.
- Ensure the class has the required capacity,
- Email the names and staff ID numbers to SCHN-ATSU@health.nsw.gov.au as soon as possible.
- If your department is not organising a team session, review the calendar and book yourself into a suitable eMM ‘Medical’ classroom or workbook session as soon as possible. Places in sessions are limited.
JMOs
The JMO office is currently booking all JMOs into relevant sessions for sign off. JMOs must attend these session. They are welcome to also attend your department sessions at your discretion.
Non-SCHN Staff
POW/ RHW/ POW Mental Health medical staff who prescribe medications for SCH patients also need to complete an SCHN eMM education session before being granted access to prescribing functions in SCHN eMR.
