Assign Provider – Nurse Practitioner
A Nurse Practitioner (NP) has to sign in as an available provider to be able to assign themself to a patient. Assigning yourself as a provider will “stop the clock”. This is tracked as an Emergency Department Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
- Select the patient to be seen.
- Double click on the cell in the IP column.
- Select your name from the Independent Pract list.
- Date and Time can be updated to when the patient was seen.
- Click OK.
- Nurse Practitioner’s initials now appear in NP column for this patient.
Note:
Ensure the Provider Role is Independent Practitioner and Default Relationship is Nurse Practitioner.
