Performing an Expiry Check

1. Log into the cabinet with your fingerprint or User ID.

2. Press Expired/Recalled.

3. Press Find By Date.

4. Enter the expiry date into the the Expiration Date field. Items expiring on or before this date will be picked up by the search.

  • In general, expiry date should be 8 days ahead of today's date. Longer periods may be required if there are public holidays (e.g. 10 days).

5. Press Find Items Now.

6. Press Remove Now.

  • Note: Number of 'expired' bins are displayed on screen.

7. Open flashing door/drawer.

8. The ADC will display the items expiring on the screen and the lights will flash to indicate where your item is located. Follow the below steps for different locations when the ADC unlocks.

  • Shelf – Button flashes > Press button.
  • Open Matrix Drawers – Drawer light flashes > Pull open drawer > Section for restock lit up.
  • Locking Lid Bins – Drawer light flashes > Pull open drawer > Lift lid next to green light.
  • Supply Drawers – Centre light of drawer flashes > Pull open drawer > Press button.
  • Fridge – Fridge lock light flashes > Pull open fridge.

9. Items to Expire/Recall will be displayed on the screen with the last known expiry date.

10. Inspect all items in the designated area and remove all items which are expiring prior to the date specified in step 4.

11. Enter the quantity of expiring items you have removed into the Items to Expire/Recall field.

  • Note: This can be a value of 0, if there are no expiring items.

12. Adjust Expiration Date field with the shortest expiry date of any items remaining in the bin. If no items are remaining, this step can be ignored.

13. Close door or push next flashing bin button to continue to the next item, until all items are assessed.

14. If you have removed all available items in the ADC, perform a Supplemental Restock for that item to ensure there is sufficient stock for usage by the ward.

15. Complete a cycle count on all the touched items.
