- Log into the CSM using fingerprint scanner or username and password.
- Select Reports and Tracking -> Resolved Discrepancies.
- The number indicates how many discrepancies remain unresolved.

- Look on the list to identify what the discrepancy was. This will allow you to obtain more details about the discrepancy.
- Further investigate the discrepancy by performing a Cycle Count.
- Navigate to Inventory Management -> Cycle Count.
- Navigate to Inventory Management -> Cycle Count.
- Select By Item.
- Search and select for the item to count. This should be the same item as what was identified in the discrepancy.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to guide you to the locations where the medication is stocked. Push on the flashing lights or open the flashing drawer when indicated to stock the item.
- Have a witness scan their fingerprint or enter their username and password to proceed.

- Perform a count of the quantity of medication in the CSM.
Press Continue to confirm the quantity.
- Adjust the stock if necessary by confirming the prompt. If this step is performed, a discrepancy will be generated (which may be resolved in later steps).
- Select Reports and Tracking -> Resolve Discrepancies.
- Review the discrepancies on the screen.
If the discrepancies cancel each other out (e.g. +10 and -10) it is likely that the discrepancy is caused by a miscount earlier. The pair of discrepancies can be resolved.
If there is not a clear pair of discrepancies, further investigation will be required to find the cause of the discrepancy before it can be resolved.
- If due to a counting error, resolve the first discrepancy by selecting it on the screen.
- Enter a Resolution Reason and have this confirmed with a pharmacist witness.
Press Save.
- Perform the same actions for the second discrepancy generated.
- A different Resolution Reason may be entered for the second discrepancy.
